The Faculty at Hainan Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences invites applications for the positions of Language teachers in German/English. The detail description is as follows:
①Job Location
At the beginning, the new campus is temporarily located in Hainan Li’an International Education Innovation Pilot Zone, Lingshui, Hainan, China.
The final Campus will be in Yangpu Economic Development Zone, Danzhou, Hainan, China.
②Responsibilities and Requirements
Responsibilities:
1)Fulfil the language teaching tasks and implement specific lesson plans in accordance with the plans, contents and requirements of the language courses in the training programs for each specialty. It is mainly responsible for the teaching of German courses A1-B2 (C1) (professional German, technical German, business German) and English courses (professional English, technical English, business English)
2)Participate in the design of German/English courses and the improvement of German/English teaching concepts, objectives, resources and assessment programs
3)Ensure the quality of teaching and participate in teaching evaluations
4)Manage the timely courses, e.g. recording course contents, attendance, student performance and language levels achieved
5)Be responsible for the translation and revision of German/English language materials for students studying abroad
6)Have extensive experience in examination work, e.g. the exam paper production, marking and oral examinations
7)Have extensive experience in online teaching
8)Participate in various teaching quality improvement activities to improve professionalism and teaching skills
9)Be active to the individual and team training, e.g. the continuing education and in-service training.
Requirements:
1)Master's degree or higher degree in German/English, or linguistics, or Germanic languages and literature, or English and American literature, or education-related studies, etc.
2)Work experience in teaching German/English and experience of studying abroad
3)Clear German/English pronunciation, the excellent German/English expression skills, and a German/English Euronext level certificate: German teachers- TEFL 18 or above, DSH 3 or Euronext C2, etc.; English teachers- IELTS C2, TOEFL 95 or above, etc.
4)Native German/English speakers preferred
5)Have the passion for German/English education
6)Have the university qualification
7)Years of experience in teaching at full level, with experience in training for language exams, e.g. TestDaF and TOEFL
8)Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as intercultural competence
9)Fluent in spoken and written English
